ART PROGRAMS

Children (Age 6 - 13)

Children may follow a Progressive Development Program where they will make up to three works in each medium before they advance.  Students begin with a preliminary drawing where they learn how to draw without the crutch of grids or tracing. Mediums include pastel, watercolor pencil crayon, watercolor, acrylic and clay. Options include pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, oil pastel, oil (water miscible), and mixed media.

Class:  1 hour per week

Times:

Mon, Tue, or Wed   6:30 - 7:30pm

Wed or Thurs         4:30 - 5:30 pm

Wed               5:30 -  6:30 pm

or Sat          10:00 - 11:00 am

or Sat          11:00 - 12 noon

or Sat            1:30 - 2:30 pm

Minimum 2 month enrollment

Cost:  $85.00 + GST / month

Teens and Adults may choose a Medium of their Choice or follow a Progressive Development Approach beginning with pencil, then charcoal, soft pastel, watercolor, acrylic and oil.  Options include pen and ink, colored pencil, mixed media, gouache and clay.

Teens (Age 13 - 17)

Class:  1 1/2 hours per week

Times:

Mon             7:30 - 9:00 pm

Wed     7:30 - 9:00 pm

or Sat      12:00 - 1:30 pm

Minimum 2 month enrollment

Cost: $105.00 + GST / month

       ADULTS (Age 18 and up)

Class: 2 hours per week

Times: 

Mon                          1:00 - 3:00 pm

Tue                          7:30 - 9:30 pm

Wed   7:30 - 9:30 pm

Fri   10 am - 12 noon

Minimum 2 month enrollment

Cost:  $120.00 + GST / month or

   $300.00 + GST / 10 classes

STUDENT ART

The classes are structured for the individual where the instructor works one on one with each student, allowing  them to receive plenty of help when needed.  Regular classes run from September until June with summer workshops in July.

    Cartooning Classes (All Ages)

Syndicated cartoonist, Gerry Rasmussen,www.ArtWanted.com/rasmussen

co-creator of "Bub Slug" and "Betty" cartoons will be teaching cartooning techniques to improve drawing skills and to help you to develop and create your own characters.

Class:  1 hour per week

Regular classes operate per semester although students can register anytime as long as there is space available.
